MECH 420 - Heat Transfer with Lab

(4 credits)

Introduction to conduction, convection, and radiation heat transmission. Applications to heat exchangers, pipelines and ducts, surfaces, phase exchanges, and mass transfer. Dimensional analysis and numerical methods are utilized to solve heat transfer problems. Equipment design incorporating thermal transfer processes.
