ART 142AE - World Art History(4 credits; alternate years, consult department) (NWCore option under Aesthetic Experience)
ART 142AE provides a survey of art from across the globe. Students will study the development of art and artistic styles by examining key visual works and pertinent social, political, and philosophical ideas and events. We explore the connections between art and religion throughout aesthetic history. Through written responses, quizzes, and projects, students will explore the impact of art, and learn how to articulate thoughts clearly and tactfully.
