TSL 230 - Curriculum and Assessment for TESL Teaching(3 credits; alternate years, consult department)
The course examines the curriculum and assessment models, methods, and strategies required of the TESL teacher. A primary component of the course will require students to gain knowledge and application of the process for English Learner identification, placement, and reclassification using the state of Iowa identification process. Students of this course will be expected to apply course learning to create, adapt, and modify general and ESL curriculum to support the EL student.
